assorted red, pink, and white sprinkles for decorating
Instructions
Place washed and completely dried strawberries on a plate or wax paper.
In a small microwave safe bowl, add the semi-sweet chips. Microwave on high for 1 minute. Remove from the microwave and stir.
If large chips remain, place back in the microwave for another 30 seconds. Remove and stir to finish melting.
Place the dark chocolate chips in a small bowl and microwave for 30 seconds, stir to combine. If needed, microwave another 30 seconds and stir to finish melting chips.
Dip each strawberry into the melted chocolate. Place on the wax paper.
Sprinkle each strawberry with colored sprinkles. Work quickly as the chocolate will harden.
Set decorated strawberries aside so the chocolate fully hardens.
Notes
The recipe uses Nestle Allergen Free chips. Both semi-sweet and dark chocolate chips are used. White chocolate wafers or chips may be used, but they aren't dairy-free.
If using small strawberries, you may be able to dip 18 in the chocolate. If you'd like to make more strawberries, double the semi-sweet chips to 8 ounces and the dark chips to 4 ounces.
Chocolate dipped strawberries store well in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Feel free to sprinkle finely chopped nuts or other sprinkles on the strawberries.
